CEDRIC BENSON
PROFILE: Benson is a bruising, downhill runner who can punish opponents, and also has deceptive speed. However, he will be limited by this if the blocking is not there and he can't avoid tacklers. His only hope is to run over them, which he does do very well. He had a great 2nd season as a backup, scoring as many TDs as Thomas Jones and having a decent 4.1 average. He was integral in wearing down the Saints in the championship game, but was injured and useless in the Super Bowl.
2007 OUTLOOK: Based on his mediocre play as of the preseason, I think he'll get only around 1100-1200 yards, but find the end zone about 10 times. I still am not happy with the Bears trading Jones away.
